التعريف والاستخدام

تحدد العلامة <area>منطقة داخل خريطة الصورة (خريطة الصورة هي صورة بها مناطق قابلة للنقر).

<area>تتداخل العناصر دائمًا داخل <map>علامة.

ملاحظة: السمة usemapفي <img>مرتبطة <map>بسمة العنصر name، وتنشئ علاقة بين الصورة والخريطة.
